DSE's Tactical Video Recorder (TVR) is a rugged military LCD display, engineered to operate under extreme environments rugged military applications. The ruggedized digital video recorders are capable of operating in environments with extended temperature options, extreme shock and vibration, explosive atmosphere, NVIS, high altitude avionics, or marine and submarine environments.

A critical design feature of the TVR display series is an integrated Digital Video Recorder (DVR). The internal DVR provides real-time recording of high frame-rate (30 fps) 24-bit hi-resolution imagery. The DVR stores up to 8 hours of recording time on an 8G solid state disk drive and offers MPEG-4 data compression for on-display video playback. A USB video download port is available along with accurate frame time stamping up to 1/100th of a second.

Instantaneous playback and access to data and hi-resolution image output gives users unprecedented advantages for immediate image analysis and processing for video debreifing operations.

^* DSE's integrated NVIS options either produce near zero color shift or slight color shift for full sunlight readability. The integrated NVIS is MIL-STD-3009 compliant, and can be viewed with NVGs (Night Vision Goggles) through the entire brightness range. Dimming is not necessary to meet MIL-STD-3009, Class B NVIS requirements. Brightness levels will be reduced with the NVIS option.
