SES Solid State Rugged Computing
The SES range of Solid State Data Processors (S3DP Family) offer an extremely powerful, solid state, processing solution with a significant range of 'out of the box' inputs and outputs.

The SES rugged computer supports all mainstream operating systems. Available in two variants S3DP-F and S3DP-FE (expanded), the product allows the developer to leverage mainstream PC technology in demanding aerospace and military applications.
The baseline product offers all standard PC Interfaces with a number of additional interfaces that are typically useful in embedded applications (extra discrete I/O and Serial Interfaces). Where size and space are at a premium, the S3DP-F product packs maximum processing power and interfaces into the minimum space envelope. Where further expansion is required the S3DP-FE provides an additional expansion space supporting further PMC or USB expansion devices.
Onboard solid state memory allows embedded operating system performance, while the availability of 2 further removable ATA flash memory devices (up to 32 GByte each) allows data gathering or large data intensive applications to be hosted.
S3DP-F and S3DP-FE are ideally suited hardware platforms that can easily be configured to host a user-developed application.
The S3DP-F and S3DP-FE products are computing-specific variants of the SES S3DR data recording solutions, which are operationally used throughout the world in a wide range of mission critical applications. The S3DP-F products benefit from 50+ man years of existing investment, together with ongoing investment in the S3DR product range.
Extreme Environmental Performance
The S3DP-FE offers a qualified rugged solution to general purpose computing requirements. The S3DP-FE is a solid state data processor that can be used in extreme land, naval and aerospace applications. It has a wide operating temperature performance (-40°C to +80°C), as well as extreme resistance to shock, vibration and acceleration.
Built from a rugged aluminium enclosure with full IP64 water and dust ingress protection, the S3DP-FE is fitted with military specification connectors. It employs filtering and isolation to achieve EMC immunity and emissions in accordance with the requirements for use in land, naval and aerospace applications.
Most importantly, the S3DP-FE can be provided with full qualification reports, providing test results and evidence that will support its use on a wide range of platforms. Where further qualification results are necessary, SES can work with a customer to carry out the tests and/or analysis required to release the equipment for use on a platform.
